When it comes to great style, the delight is in the details. When it comes creating this season’s chic, minimalist look, the delight is in the subtle, intricate designs that have to be seen up close to be appreciated.

Going hand-in-hand with the strong showing of neutral and monochromaticoutfits and natural, no-makeup trends this year, simple, delicate jewelry piecesare the perfect finish to this modern, clean-lined look.

While some might be misled into thinking that simple equals boring, make no mistake: these simple, modern accessories are anything but. Instead, they offer you the ability to mix and match, stack, and layer in endlessly unique ways.

Whether a simple adornment of earrings, a long, lean line of a necklace, a singularly striking bangle, or a playful dance of delicate rings on your fingers, you can maximize style with minimalist pieces.

Singularly Sexy

The slender, lustrous swirls of the hand-hammered Drew Earrings create a beautiful frame around the face and neckline.

We love how the Asha Arrowhead Necklace’s druzy pendant creates a dazzling focal point from its hand-wrought bezel on this sophisticated, simple piece.

Elegance with an Edge

Glimmering cubic zirconia dances along the entire length of a slender leather strap to make up the Minimalist Wrap Bracelet’s textural look.

The hand-wrought Stella Cuff Bracelet evokes a vintage-modern feel with its clean, cutout chevron motif and well-traveled antiqued finish.

Evoking an architectural feel, the Kai Cuff Bracelet feels both elegant and edgy with its hammered metal cuff and sleek, slender band detail.

Style Forecast: 3D Embellishments

It’s that time of the year when daydreams of spring take over with visions of vibrant, mood-lifting colors, romantic florals, flounces and airy fabrics. This season, designers took delight in adorning their fresh styles with innovative and unique 3D embellishments. The result ranges from the dramatic to the playful while creating alluring depth of texture.

Whether through colorful, elaborate embroidery, mixed fabrics, beaded appliqués, intricate stitch work or trims of silk, mesh or fringe, three-dimensional detailing adds a luxurious and unexpected touch.

To avoid too much dazzle, you can balance the look of 3D embellishment by pairing the trend with denim or a simple, sleek pant or skirt. Of course, there are also plenty of options featuring tonal embroideries and trims for a more subtle effect.

Thanks to the diverse, romantic and playfully eclectic feel of fashion this year, there are endless possibilities to embellish. Collect a few of these eye-catching beauties to lift your wardrobe into a new dimension!

Pattern Play

Our Secret Garden Jacket is a perfect balance of vibrant color and pattern play with its mix of two luxurious fabrics. Finely woven wool in a paisley motif plays with embroidered rayon to make this intriguing jacket pop with texture and detail.

Intricate Beauty

The West Indies Tunic I embodies the 3D trend in culturally rich design and tropical hues. Elaborate stitch-work and delightful color play on airy mesh fabric to make this a favorite for the spring season.

Alluring Movement

3D embellishment can also feature trims and beadwork that allow for playful movement. The Pacific Waves Top achieves this through trims of mesh, satin, crinkled chiffon and subtle beading to give it a sense of flowing water. Our Fab Fringe Cardi creates a sense of dimension and flirtatiousness through its adornment of fringe.

Wearable Art

Layering basics become standalone styles when richly textured embroidery is added. In the case of our Adora Top, colorful folkloric design is taken to dramatic and alluring lengths to create a wearable work of art.

Tonal Texture

Heightened dimension can also be accomplished through special fabric treatments and washes, as well as tonal accents. The Presley Tee is specially dyed and adorned with tonal crochet trim to create intriguing coloration and texture. Our Santa Fe Shirt, made of crinkled Peruvian cotton, features tonal soutache and pintucks for a gorgeous multi-dimensional effect.

Style Forecast: Favorite Fall Trends

Fall is undoubtedly the most exciting season for fashion trends. This season is no exception, as colors and prints and textures from every corner of the globe have opened up a world of possibilities, making the foray into fall feel like walking into an international shopping bazaar. Here are nine of our favorite trends that you’ll find throughout our fall collection that will give you limitless inspiration.

Global References

As the fashion world, literally, becomes closer knit, global influences in fashion become stronger every season. From the gorgeous florals and geometric patterns of Japanese kimonos, to dazzling beadwork and embroidery from Morocco, accents of global style will give your fall wardrobe an intriguing, worldly feel.

Plaid

We’re more mad for plaid than ever! While plaid has always been a go-to for fall, this season it has opened up into a delightful array of new and sophisticated designs with colors ranging from the classic tartan palette to vivid jewel tones.

Oversized

Cozy, oversized knits are being celebrated this season — and why not? Infinitely comfortable and flattering — and very chic when layered with the right pieces — the oversized look is incredibly versatile and feels wonderfully delicious in cashmere and soft cotton.

Antique Rug & Blanket Patterns

With folkloric and global trends strong this season, it’s only natural that inspiration in the form of antique textiles would emerge. This trend takes cues from the intricate designs of Native American and Persian textiles and Victorian paisleys, creating striking pattern-work, as well as incredible depth of texture.

Fringe

No longer relegated to mere trim on handbags, fringe has come into the spotlight this season. A playful and flirty accent that adds free-flowing movement to whatever it adorns, it looks fantastic on accessories and boots or full out in a Gatsby-inspired skirt or dress.

Folkloric

Fall’s trend towards wandering florals, relaxed silhouettes and eclectic accents also finds its footing in folkloric patterns. The folkloric look adds an artistic, whimsical feel to the season, giving simple tops a uniquely feminine feel or becoming the centerpiece of an outfit in intricate embroidery.

Shades of Grey

Grey is anything but ho-hum this season. In tones ranging from luminous silver to mysterious charcoal, grey can be found everywhere, serving as the foundation on which to play textures and tones and pops of color. There’s never been a better time to ‘go grey’!

Renaissance & Baroque

This classic trend continues to be strong — and for good reason, as it epitomizes the romantic feel of the fall and winter months. Swirling designs, ornate flourishes and gold edging along lush fabrics like velvets and brocades create a sense of delicious drama.

Fur

We’ve made fur decidedly — and fabulously — faux. The ultimate luxury fabric, nothing staves off the cold like this deliciously soft experience. This season you’ll see it trimmed on coats and sweaters, fashioned into scarves and throws, and lining boots and gloves — as well as offered in a wild array of colors.

Fall For Burgundy

Rich, romantic, alluring – burgundy has emerged as the “it” color this fall. From shades ranging from earthy cinnamon to spicy sangria to luscious berry and bold bordeaux, this intriguing (and incredibly flattering) color is being called the “new black” for the season from top fashion forecasters. Countless designers have sent burgundy designs down the runway in the form of chic pantsuits, luxe evening gowns, chunky, textural knits, glamorous coats, and more.

Dip your toe into this trend with a burgundy accessory like a soft suede bootie or small handbag – or embrace it fully in a luxurious coat or dress. Either way, make room for this exquisite color in your wardrobe, and add burgundy to your outfits instead of standard-issue shades of brown and olive green. No matter how you wear it, discover this must-have color that captures the essence of the season throughout our fall collection.

This Spring: We’re Seeing Green

There’s no color that captures spring like green. The most abundant hue in nature, green, is symbolic of lush renewal. Sparkling and radiant, it captures a sense of liveliness, well-being, and balance.

Pantone, a global leader in color trends, has named “Emerald Green” Color of the Year for 2013. The biggest designers on the runway to the smallest artisan boutiques are showing green in every delectable, delightful shade from intense jewel tones to cool mint tones in easy silhouettes that encompass the mood of the season.

Shades of green combine well with white and other neutral hues like natural, linen, and nude, as well as rosy tones of peach and pink – and, of course, denim in both dark and light washes.

You can introduce the color into your wardrobe with stripes or a simple pattern, too.

If you don’t want to commit to green in your garments, opt for a pop of color. Green accessories abound this season from earrings to scarves to bags and shoes.

If you have a lighter complexion, go for shades of soft jade and sea glass, if you have a darker complexion, you can deepen your shades to pine and olive. Red and auburn hair is a fantastic backdrop for a wide array of greens, and if your hair is silver or ashy-toned, cool-based greens look best. No matter what your skin or hair color, jewel-toned greens look marvelously elegant on everyone.

Great color compliments all skin tones – don’t be afraid to wear it! You’ll feel brighter and happier, reflecting the fresh and fabulous new season.

Make Your Surroundings Uniquely You

Your surroundings have the potential to be beautiful, authentic and stylish – and most importantly, uniquely you. Your own personal brand of style should always shine through everything you do, whether it be personalizing your own home or giving the gift of personalization to a loved one for their own surroundings.

When it comes to your own surroundings, small things can work wonders.

Surround yourself with:

–The familiarity of what you love and know, whether it’s placing a vase of your favorite flowers on a beloved farmhouse table or herbs in the windowsill of your kitchen window.

–Objects that have meaning to you: collections of books; artwork picked up on your travels; family photos; and funky tchotchkes that tell a story.

–Warm light, whether it be from a vintage floor lamp, sparkling white lights around your patio, or the romantic, inviting glow of candles.

–Wonderful smells – Think cookies in the oven, a soup simmering on the stove, a roast in the oven – these are the smells that make a house a home.

Through decor and accents, imbue your environs with a generosity of spirit – turn it into a haven of affection, joy, laughter, and togetherness.

The same sense of personalization holds true for gift giving. The adage, “Give something that you would love to receive yourself” always holds true. Give things from the heart – things that reflect your own brand of style to make a gift personal. Personalized gifts make the person feel special and cared for. When you personalize a gift for a loved one (or even yourself!), it adds a specialness to what would be an otherwise ordinary gift or everyday object. It shows that you’ve made a heartfelt decision, and that you’ve put time and effort into a gift that reflects your personality.

Whatever makes your surroundings you, make the gift of personalization – to yourself and others – your bliss.
